Independently published / This book is a translation and commentary in Japanese by adding translation, annotations, and explanations to the original text of Dong Yingjie's book 'Commentary on Tai Chi Quan'.
It is released in two volumes, with the first volume being the first.
The author, Dong Yingjie, was a late-life disciple of Yang Chengfu, the third-generation master of Yang-style Tai Chi. From 1926 for ten years, he followed Yang Chengfu and was a representative inheritor of Tai Chi who loved it throughout his life. Dong Yingjie is not very familiar in Japan, but his real name is Dong Wenke. At that time, he fought against a British professional boxer who had defeated many Chinese martial artists in an official ring, defeated them, and became known by people as a hero who defended the honor of Chinese culture and martial arts.
The book Dong Yingjie wrote in his later years is the 'Commentary on Tai Chi' covered in this book. Although this is such a major masterpiece, this is the first Japanese translation and commentary book published
