Author: Chen Weiming, Translation & Commentary: Tai Chi com/Published 2022 (A5 size)

Paper Bag Independently published / This book is officially approved by Chen Weiming's Japan Chiju Kensha.
This book is based on the original text of Chen Weiming's book 'Tai Chi Shu,' with added translations, annotations, and explanations, allowing readers to understand 'Tai Chi Shu.' This is the first Japanese translation and explanatory book published.
The original book, 'Tai Chi Techniques,' was published in 1925 and is said to have made a significant contribution to the spread of Tai Chi. The previous book, 'Understandable! Chen Weiming's Tai Chi Wen Da,' which I explained in my previous work, was published in 1929. 'Tai Chi Wen Tu' is a Q&A format that covers a wide range of topics about Tai Chi that could not be covered in this edition of 'Tai Chi Techniques.' Therefore, these two books are linked in content and complement each other. Reading them together will deepen your understanding of Tai Chi.

The highlights of 'Tai Chi' are as follows.

・Yang Chengfu (third-generation Yang Taijiquan) talks about ten key points on Tai Chi posture and movement
・Explanation of early large-rack styles using photos by Yang Chengfu
・A large number of consecutive photos (261 images!) ) to see the movement.
・Commentary on 'Treatise on Tai Chi' by Chen Weiming
・Descriptions of the integration of Tai Chi and the teachings of the Dao in Laozi's Tao Te Ching

From key points on posture and movement, to interpretations of the 'Treatise on Tai Chi' and Laozi's 'Tao Te Ching,' the content offers learning for everyone from beginners to advanced levels. For beginners in Tai Chi, the 'Ten Essentials of Tai Chi Techniques' is a must-read. Even intermediate and advanced learners can learn the interpretations of 'Treatise on Tai Chi' and Laozi's 'Tao Te Ching.'

Continuing from the previous book, I have made the translation of this book easy to understand, keeping the paraphrase as faithful as possible to the text. All original texts are also included.
