A Message on Our 25th Anniversary
Share
Today, Toudoukan celebrates its 25th anniversary.
Thanks to all of you. It feels like only yesterday since we opened our doors on March 23, 2001.
Over these years, we have encountered countless "items" and the "people" who poured their souls into them.
Martial arts culture is the ultimate form of self-expression and the very way of life for generations of fighters.
I believe it is an accumulation of memories and tangible forms born from that spirit. The breath of fighters who faced their opponents and the audience with nothing but their own bodies dwells within each and every item we hold.
We have remained committed not just to consuming these artifacts, but to preserving and passing them on to the next generation.
I started this shop at the age of 25, and today I am 50.
I have walked half of my life alongside Toudoukan. What began as a shop built by hand from zero has grown steadily, step by step.
Thanks to your support, we have continued to grow for 25 years without ever falling below the previous year’s performance.
I would like to express my deepest gratitude to everyone who has supported us. If Toudoukan were a fighter, at 25 years old, our prime is just beginning.
In the next 5 years, 10 years... I am confident that we will play an even more meaningful role.
The things to be preserved and the values to be conveyed continue to emerge the deeper we dig—the more we look, the more we fall in love with this culture.
We will continue to move forward. With heartfelt gratitude to everyone.
There are things worth preserving across generations.
