11. Resolution

Director: When I came back from Rome in September, I couldn't get the idea of the "Pro Wrestling Library," the prototype of Toudoukan, out of my head.
So, after a while, when I went to a second-hand bookstore in Takadanobaba near my home, there was a 100 yen uniform corner.

Tarzan Yamamoto: There are a lot of them. At the entrance.

Director: It just so happened that there were more than 100 back issues related to Pro Wrestling, such as Weekly Pro, Gong, and Kakutsu.
So, if you really want to start a Pro Wrestling library, you can buy it because it's cheap.
If you're starting a business, this is an opportunity, so don't miss it. I have to buy it.
But I don't need that much for my own reading.
I had to make a decision about whether I was really going to do it or not, and I was like, "What are you going to do?"

In front of the 100 yen corner, I stood alone with Gee and thought...
Even though I was just standing, my heartbeat was pounding and pounding, and it was becoming difficult to breathe.
In your heart, don't get lost, go! Go! I encouraged myself hard (laughs)
It's just like before I confess to the girl I like (laughs).

Tarzan Yamamoto: Ahahaha, I mustered up the courage (laughs).

Director: So, take a deep breath once, huh~. Good! I called the clerk,
I said, "Give me everything here!"
It was like the gong sounded for battle.

Tarzan Yamamoto: yes. Congratulations! (Guts Pose)

Director: So, the next week, I said to the manager who was the boss of the company,
I told him, "I'm going to quit at the end of the year."
And I was like, "What are you going to do when you stop?"
I was asked,
I said, "I'm going to start a Pro Wrestling coffee shop."
"Ha~? Are you all right?" (laughs)

Tarzan Yamamoto: Kukuku

Director: The manager said, "Well, but you're that kind of guy. I don't mind, but I should talk to the director directly from you."
So, the general manager seemed to think that I was changing jobs, and he asked, "What is the name of the company?"
"Eh, well, I've been thinking about it for the time being, and it's called my dictionary," and I said the name I had decided to give it if I incorporated it someday in the future.

The director asked, "Garyu, have you never heard of it, is it the Internet that is trending right now?"

Me: "No, it's not the Internet, it's used books."

Director: "Ho~, so what kind of dictionary is that?"

Me: "No, not anymore, because we will continue to expand what we want to do in our own way. I put a lot of them together and expressed them in a dictionary."

Director: "I don't know. I just quit."

I didn't get along with the story at all (laughs).

Tarzan Yamamoto: That's not true at all (laughs).

Director: Because it bothers my seniors. It's a system where you nurture a junior person for a year and move up the ranks from generation to generation, so if I quit, there is a possibility that the senior will be delayed in their career.
Every day for a year and a half, they took extra time to raise me because I was clumsy.
So, I felt really bad for that senior, and although it wasn't a haircut match, I shaved my head for the first time in my life, and I apologized to him, saying that I would let him quit.

Tarzan Yamamoto: That's good. It's my life.

Director: So, I'm going to write a resignation letter.
I was also enthusiastic about it, and I submitted it with a thumbprint on the image of an old samurai stamping blood, with parentheses and a thumbprint (laughs).
Then, the company said, "No, this is no good, you have to stamp it properly" (wry smile).
However, I wrote it with the meaning of expressing my determination with enthusiasm, so I became somewhat stiff.
"What's wrong with the thumbprint? I can't even commit seppuku twice!" (laughs)

Tarzan Yamamoto: That's great!

Director: So, I officially quit at the end of December 2000. It's the 21st century from tomorrow. In the 21st century, we will live freely (laughs).

Tarzan Yamamoto: Crackling

Director: Just like this, the ship called Toudoukan finally started moving...
I've finally reached this point (wry smile)
You can talk quite a bit. I thought it was already this far today, but when I looked at the clock, I still had a little more time.

Tarzan Yamamoto: You spoke very fast. We talked a lot. With a high spat as it flows.

Director: I tried to cram a little too much into the process so that the teacher could listen to the whole flow (laughs).

Tarzan Yamamoto: No, it's okay. It's funny.
Listening to the story so far. I thought the director was suitable for business.

Director: I'm glad to hear that. Is it suitable for you?

Tarzan Yamamoto: Because the director makes the decision. As a businessman, you have to make decisions. You always have to make a decision.

Director: That's right.

Tarzan Yamamoto: You can't delay making a decision. The most important thing is to make a decision quickly. What is a businessman? What is the president?

Director: Ah, I see. But I'm having a hard time making a decision.

Tarzan Yamamoto: No. It's true that the director is a little hesitant and thinks, "This is no good, no, I'm going to do this!" What. I've always made a decision while giving up and moving forward. That's why I'm actually the most suited to be president.
I asked someone about it.
The definition of a president's job is that it is a profession where you have to make a decision every second, no matter what happens.

Director: That's true.

Tarzan Yamamoto: That's right. No matter what, you always have to make a decision. To the company, to the organization, to the employees, to yourself, to the world. When you can't do that, it's over.
Whether it's wrong or right, it's secondary, it doesn't matter. Decisions are the most important thing.

And when making decisions, a good president is one who is able to make decisions without fear of becoming a minority, rather than swaying by social justice or common sense.
It's the decision of that minority race, everything.

You can never swing to the majority. They have all kicked the majority.
Originally, it is easier to go to the majority. But the fact that I've pushed it all and pursued myself as an individual、、、 yes, it's great.

Director: Minority races. Well, that's why I always sympathize with Tarzan Yamamoto's story (laughs).

Tarzan Yamamoto: The director and I are actually very close. In my case, I do it openly and entirely as a performance. But if the director is dynamic, he is static. In short, a silent outsider. It's a quiet adventure.

Director: Hahaha, was I a silent outsider!?
It's really defined in an instant (laughs), but I feel like it fits perfectly.

Tarzan Yamamoto: The director is a quiet outsider. I'm a very dynamic and intense outsider. So at first glance, they seem completely different, but the essence is the same.
