In the early 20th century, in late Qing Shanghai during the Qing Dynasty, Huo Yuanjia, a master of Chinese martial arts and founder of Jingwuguan (modeled after the Shanghai Jingwu Gymnastics School, predecessor of the Shanghai Jingwu Sports Association), died under mysterious circumstances. Upon hearing of his death, his beloved disciple Bruce Lee, who rushed from afar, became suspicious of his master's sudden death.
